About us
The Library and Information Centre (KIK) operates on different sites as an independent organizational unit.
The aim of our library is to operate a user-friendly centre that gives support to the teachers, researchers, students and specialists of the region.
For its users KIK
Permanently gives and interposes its information services on its homepage.
Improves its catalogues, collection and regularly puts it at users' disposal.
Gives access to its electronic information resources for scientific research work, organizes non-formal trainings, which develop information skills and support learning; programs developing reading culture, popularizing library and improving reading skills.
Any Hungarian citizen over 18 can be registered at the library who accepts the rules regarding library use. The Library makes its stock available via information service and reader service to users. It trains users to learn information and literature research methods. Our Library is a registered user in ODR.
Collection
The Library continually develops and explores its stock and is at service with its collection for the users in accordance with the teaching and development aims of the university. Based on the requirements of the users it gives information about the library, the library documents and the services. It provides access to other libraries' databases and services. Its collection covers the literature of sciences taught and researched at the university. Its aim is to collect the widest possible range of carefully selected literature available in Hungarian and in foreign languages as well. Besides traditional documents there is a growing number of electronic documents, as well. It explores the stock applying the Liberty integrated library system where the complete stock can be retrieved.
